Hey!!! It isn't the Simple Past!! It's the Preterit!!
The simple past is, for example :

So, Are you sure it's the Simple Past ?

I think it's a great novel ^^ I've never read it but i would like to. I've already read 1984 by Orwell, which shows a similar future, where people can express their feelings.
But it should be hard in english ><

I've read Harry Potter in english (all! the 6 books!) and I can notice lot of deferences with french version.

I've read Mockingbird by Walter Tevis in english too. It's a very good book!
It deals as some drug, as freedom, as religion and as the evolution of the range of thought of people in a futuristic and robotics frame.

And in 1984 I found BB and Winston very fascinating, and I love the name : Syme, but I would have attributed it to a woman more than to a man.

I've also read Harry Potter 5 . But if I understand , I can't speak very well , sorry ^^

I don't know what books I can read (I'm a pupil of 3eme) . Have you got any ideas ?

You can read the book of a film which you like.

for exemple I found the film "colour purple" by S.Spielberg very interresting so I have read the book of the film (reallity the film is pulled by the book)
